What does the water intake design service include?
• Analysis and consultation of water intake options for the site
• Preparation of the project with a site plan, technical solutions and explanatory memorandum
• Preparation and submission of a construction notice in the construction register
• Testing and inspection of fire water intake points (including access, marking, water volume)
• Support for the operating permit procedure after successful testing and completion of documents
Dry hydrant - standard solution
Nowadays, it is no longer possible or reasonable to plan the classic direct water intake from a water body - therefore, dry hydrants are used as the main solution in scattered settlements and new housing areas.
Our selection includes a dry hydrant DN200, which is suitable for the banks of water bodies and reservoirs, meets the connection requirements of rescue equipment, and can be designed and installed according to the EVS 812-6 standard.
We install with marking, testing and all necessary documentation.
Additional service: analytical assessment and water transport calculation
If desired, we additionally offer:
• Assessment of the suitability of a fire water intake point
• Preparing a water transport calculation (e.g. remote water intake or shared access)
• Preparation of risk analysis and justified exception for the Rescue Board or local government
